Job Overview We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our creative team! In this role, you will be instrumental in translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and detailed designs. Your expertise in CAD software and mechanical design will help bring our innovative interior projects to life, ensuring accuracy and quality at every stage. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-end interior spaces while honing your technical skills. Duties • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for interior design projects using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other design software. • Create schematic diagrams, system designs, and construction documentation that meet project specifications. • Collaborate with designers and engineers to refine design concepts into accurate technical schematics and layouts. • Incorporate industry standards such as ASME codes & standards into technical drawings for mechanical systems. • Assist in drafting mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER. • Support technical writing efforts by preparing clear documentation for project proposals and construction manuals. • Utilize tools like Bluebeam, NavisWorks, and 2D animation software to review models and facilitate project coordination. Qualifications • Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and system designs. • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for mechanical systems. • Knowledge of construction processes and technical drafting for interior or mechanical projects. • Ability to perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) simulations is a plus. • Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and schematics. • Mechanical engineering background or related field preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous.
