Job Summary Busy Custom Cabinet, Closet and Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry Company seeks experienced and professional Finish Carpenter. Company is comprised of divisions – Custom Closets & Home Organization Cabinetry, Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry, Outdoor Kitchen Cabinetry, Commercial Casework and Custom Built Cabinetry. POSITION SUMMARY In this role, the candidate will have a wide variety of carpentry skills to install our custom-built cabinetry, custom closet systems, kitchen & bath cabinetry, built-in units and commercial casework. We are looking for someone with a strong base of skills that is willing to learn all aspects of what we do. QUALIFICATIONS • Must live in one of the following counties OR be willing to Relocate to the Maryland/Delaware Beaches • HS Diploma or GED required. • A minimum of 2 years experience with various carpentry subsets: Finish Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, General Carpentry, Kitchen & Bath cabinetry installation (Experience in all areas not required). • A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, a clean driving and criminal record required. • Ability to read a tape measure, operate laser level, read, understand and interpret paperwork, labels and mathematical measurements, blueprints and drawings/designs. • Proficiency in construction math. • You are a hard-working, self-motivated individual. • You exemplify professionalism. • You possess strong leadership skills by mentoring and sharing your knowledge with apprentices and other staff. • Ability to motivate others. • You are dependable, reliable and punctual. • Strong verbal, listening and organizational skills. • You have strong problem solving skills and face challenges with a positive attitude. • Ability to work individually and in teams. • Able to provide a high-level customer service experience; you must be comfortable speaking with customers, and ensure our finished product meets their expectations. • Experience with common hand and power tools. • Have a clean, professional appearance. Chewing Tobacco and/or Smoking is NOT ALLOWED on Customer's Property nor in Customer's Home. • Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8 hours, lift 75lbs and be in good physical shape to be able to perform the position. • Effectively communicate with leadership immediately of any issues with material and/or mechanical breakdowns. • You possess high standards - which means you pay meticulous attention to detail and care about what you’re installing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain strong relationships with our manufacturers reps. • Utilize Company’s internal software i.e. Outlook and CRM platforms for project management. • Keep detailed logs for tracking of any back-ordered, damaged or customer job issues that need attention. • Discuss with owner opportunities to improve workflows as necessary that will increase company efficiencies and profitability. • Plan, execute and close projects based on comprehensive work plans, that are on-time and on-budget. • Optimize installation quality performance through training, coaching, feedback and development. • Maintain safe and clean work areas and tools. New tools provided by Company; Company is sponsored by Milwaukee Tool Co. • Cover all floors where work will occur with company provided drop cloths. • Remove project trash from truck daily. • Keep truck organized and clean. • Keep warehouse organized and track inventory. • Load truck each morning with customer job for the day. • Maintain clean, neat professional appearance.
