Cabinet Designer

Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design and a strong understanding of cabinetry, renovation, and construction processes. This role involves collaborating with clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing cabinet designs that meet their needs and preferences. The Cabinet Designer will utilize various design software and tools to bring concepts to life while managing multiple projects efficiently. Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for cabinetry in residential or commercial spaces. • Create detailed cabinet designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Revit. • Develop project plans and timelines, ensuring all aspects of the design process are managed effectively. • Prepare presentations using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, to showcase design concepts to clients. • Conduct site visits to assess space requirements and gather necessary measurements for accurate designs. • Work closely with contractors and construction teams during the installation phase to ensure designs are executed correctly. • Manage budgets and timelines for each project, maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the process. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to cabinetry and interior design. Experience • Must have knowledge with Design Flex 14. • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential. • Strong background in interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, and drafting. • Experience in project management within the construction or renovation industry is highly desirable. • Familiarity with contracts related to cabinetry projects is a plus. • Previous experience in sales or lighting sales can enhance client interactions and project outcomes. • A keen understanding of budgeting processes related to design projects is beneficial.
