Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer. The Interior Designer will be responsible for managing the customer’s design experience from initial client meeting through installation of the project. This includes: Partnering with sales team members to discover client needs and scope of project Making design recommendations and furniture selections Presenting design solutions to clients Facilitating programming with clients, including layouts, budgets, and field measurements Guiding and training new Designers Attending department and team meetings and trainings Staying up to speed on technology and furniture products Qualifications 3-5 years experience in commercial design or the contract furniture industry Strong AUTOCAD skills, including experience with 3D modeling Experience specifically with space planning and space layouts Great relationship-building skills – ability to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings Demonstrated commitment to internal and external client service Meticulous with detail and accuracy in deliverables Good time management skills, prioritizing and meeting deadlines Able to adapt to change and remain flexible Responding in a calm and effective manner to a variety of demands, projects, and personality types Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Furniture Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Business Furniture + Co by 2x.
