About this role

Technical Interior Designer. The Technical Interior Designer will assist and be able to produce technical documentation of the project, under direction and supervision of Campus Development Architect. Reporting directly to Senior Project Manager/ Architect, this position holds responsibility of ensuring all aspects of interior design elements of new projects are coordinated and documented... according to Gateway Design and FF&E / Finishes standards. This position establishes, upkeeps, and directs interior design for future campus and office work and involves designing and creating vision for all interiors, consistent to Gateway culture, partnering with Campuses and collaborating amongst Central departments. Principle Responsibilities • Coordinate interior design across project team by collaborating with architect, and consultants to meet project goals, adhering to Gateway Campus Development project schedules and milestones. • Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, techniques, and other development in interior design. • Analyze Gateway's movement and use patterns of space. • Develop and maintain Campus and Office FF&E Standards that are functional, scalable for growth and complimentary to Gateway's culture. • Source, procure, purchase, and maintain FF&E inventory for Campuses and Office spaces. • Occasionally perform design charettes for Leadership to approve FF&E standards. • Maintain department documentation standards, BIM procedures, as well as assisting architect in creating new Visualization tools. • Maintain alignment with Gateway Culture and Social Covenant. • Collaborate with all departments and all ministries. • Establish and maintain partnership with Campus Pastors, Associate Pastors, Campus Operations Directors and Central Leadership. • Lead and/ or collaborate with Senior Project Manager/ Architect to space plan and design the interior architectural envelope. • Lead and/ or collaborate with Senior Project Manager/ Architect to envision and design interior finishes and FF&E. • Contribute in Revit to the development of detailed construction documents and coordinate with appropriate team members to ensure design intent, quality and compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and department wide design standards. • Participate in construction administration phase with required meetings, site observations, and review and process RFIs/ submittals • Adhering to and maintaining FF&E portion of project budgets, estimates, and cost tracking. • Participate in further the department's knowledge base through training, sharing of resources and education opportunities. Qualifications • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree • Certification: NCIDQ certification required • Strong proficiency (current versions): Revit (proficiency required) AutoCAD (proficiency required) Adobe creative suite (desirable) • Possess strong communication skills • Experience:4-5+ years applicable experience preferred • Transportation: Must have access to a vehicle, have the ability to drive, and occasionally travel via airplane.
