Required
• Bachelor’s degree from a professional Interior Design or Interior Architecture institution
• Proficiency in Revit
• Ability to reliably commute to our Annapolis office, or willing to relocate
Desired
• 4+ years of experience
• Comprehensive knowledge in the following:
• Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
• AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe
• Furniture and architectural finishes with experience in documenting product specification and carrying them through to procurement
• FF&E in either residential or commercial settings
• Monday.com (not required)
Your Role
As an Associate Interior Designer at Kimmel Studio you will have the opportunity to work in an award winning, multi-disciplinary firm in Annapolis, MD developing and creating high-end residential and commercial interiors. You will be responsible for working directly with the client in executing their vision while overseeing all phases of the project alongside the Project Manager and with your team’s support. You’ll be responsible for FF&E selections along with interior architecture detailing that includes millwork, construction drawings, and interior finish specifications. We are looking for someone with an ambitious, creative spirit, that possesses quality leadership skills and wishes to grow alongside our fast-growing team.
A Day in the Life
Tasks
• Manages projects’ schedules, timelines, drawings, material selections, budget, and client presentations
• Leads FF&E selections and interior architecture detailing that includes drawing out initial millwork details and elevations within Revit or AutoCAD
• Reviews and redlines permit and construction documents
• Occasionally travels for client meetings and installations
Communication
• Communicates directly with clients to understand their vision, timeline, and budget
• Presents and implements proposed designs
• Develops relations with outside representatives, contractors, and fabricators
• Participates and contributes new ideas to team meetings that include our landscape and architecture designers
• Communicates effectively and respectfully with team members
