CB Design Group is seeking an Associate Interior Designer to join our growing firm. This is a full-time position working at the US Marshal Service office in the Arlington, Virginia area. The ideal candidate will be someone with a detail-oriented, creative spirit, that possesses strong communication skills and is willing to provide quality interior design concepts within the established US Marshal... Service standards.
Required + Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited professional Interior Design institution.
• Actively working towards becoming licensed.
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in a professional interior design role.
• Proficient with Revit to develop design documents.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe.
• Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and manage project priorities.
• Confidence with selecting interior finishes, materials, and colors. Ability to develop and present material color boards.
• Knowledge of office finishes and their applications (flooring, paint, laminates, wood veneer, ceiling systems, etc.)
• Ability to make recommendations and selections of FF&E for office environments.
• Knowledge of office systems furniture.
• Knowledge of UNICOR furniture a plus, but not required.
• Ability to produce furniture layouts in 2D and 3D.
• Knowledge of interior and exterior signage systems and ability to develop signage drawings.
• Thorough understanding of accessibility standards (ADA, etc.) to ensure that interior designs comply with required clearances, mounting heights, etc.
• Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
• REQUIRED (no exceptions):
• Candidate must be able to provide proof of US citizenship.
• M-F In-Office attendance in Arlington, Virginia office of the US Marshal Service.
Responsibilities:
• Assists US Marshal staff with developing concepts, plans, etc. for a variety of interior projects.
• Assisting in project design utilizing 3D Modeling and Digital Presentation Packaging.
• Assists with specifications, product research, ordering samples, compiling design data and other supporting project information.
• Assists with preparation of floor plans and furniture layouts.
• Prepares finish material sample boards, renderings, and graphic presentations to clearly communicate design concepts.
• Other duties and tasks that may be assigned.
