Interior Designer for Kitchen and Bath
Job Purpose
This position supports the Senior K & B Designer in the administrative duties such as placing orders, reviewing acknowledgements, scheduling deliveries, preparing packets, attaching all the 2020 documents, worksheets, questionnaires to the quotes and orders in Titan. When the K&B designer is busy, the Assistant’s role is to work with Account Managers to qualify and consult with potential cabinet buyers. This includes obtaining the necessary information to design, quote and sell cabinets, plumbing, hardware and countertop projects. Primarily the assistant position will design smaller projects and process the paperwork of the Senior K & B designer. This position also is responsible for becoming the plumbing, hardware and countertop “go-to” person, including quoting and selling these items for a project. They will assist in maintaining accurate pricing information and ensuring profitability of the kitchen department and complete customer satisfaction. It is important to turn around drawing quickly and work the Account Manager to follow up and close the sale. The Assistant designer is also responsible for tracking quotes and our win/loss results.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions may include the following but are not limited to these functions. Other duties may be assigned.
· Supporting the Senior K & B Designer in all the attachments necessary for preparing a presentation.
· Take a cabinet or K & B department lead when the sales team or the Senior Designer is not available.
· Work with the sales team and their trade professionals and their clients, to qualify, design and quote smaller Kitchen and Bath projects, plumbing, hardware and countertops.
· Become the sales’ team person of contact for all plumbing, hardware and countertop quotes and sales.
· Designing small kitchens, bathrooms, bars, entertainment systems etc. using 2020 software
· Assist in the qualifying, quoting and managing the full cycle ordering process for all kitchen and bath projects from inception to completion
· Use RFMS, the K drive, and Titan to enter and attach design drawings and signature approvals for the customer
· Assist in troubleshooting any post-delivery problems and involve the rep and the Store Manager as needed
· Maintaining pricing and merchandising for the Kitchen and Bath department, specifically plumbing, hardware and countertops
· Assisting a sales team with gaining knowledge of all Kitchen and Bath products
· Promote the Kitchen and Bath program
· Leading educational events for trade professionals and sales team

Knowledge and Experience
· Bachelor or Associate’s Degree in Interior Design preferred
· 3 years of design and sales experience
· Minimum of 2 years of experience creating designs with 2020 software or equivalent software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
