Architecture/Interior Design Intern

As an intern on our Architecture and Interior Design team, you will be an integral part of projects and collaborate closely with key members of our team. Key Responsibilities: • Preparation of drawings for projects, including conceptual design, space planning, drawing layout, development of details, construction documents, coordination with other disciplines, and construction administration. • Assisting in determining design criteria, drawing sequence, and presentation, sizing various system components, and refining rough sketches and notes to include material, furniture, and casework elements. • Collaboration on all phases of company projects, including client relationships, design, specifications, project team coordination, construction documents, code analysis, and consultant interaction. • Gathering and preparing information regarding cost and time estimates, material requirements, and completion times. • Utilization of safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards. • Communication of incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified. Requirements: • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, with completion of sophomore year preferred. • Knowledge to perform design and construction calculations, prepare material and equipment specifications, and provide preliminary sketches and notes for drawing. • Proficiency in REVIT and BIM-based packages. • Good graphic, communication, verbal, and presentation skills are essential for this position. • Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative and support a dynamic team.
