About this role

Job Summary Tom Hoch Design (THD) is looking for a detail-orientated Architectural Designer to join our dynamic design team. Founded in 1963, THD is an industry leading hospitality firm based in Oklahoma City, OK, specializing in luxury retail, hospitality and residential design around the world. You will be creating technical drawings for commercial hospitality buildings, luxury homes and other structures from conceptual sketches. Designers should have 5+ years of professional experience with strong technical skills and Construction Document experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for great design and the desire to work on multiple scales of projects on teams. Duties and Responsibilities:  Collaborate under the Lead Designer and work independently on projects.  Create furniture layouts and conduct space planning.  Select finishes and materials for design projects.  Develop conceptual design drawings and presentations.  Produce 3D sketches and renderings.  Prepare construction drawings and coordinate with project teams.  Manage FF&E schedules and documentation (tear sheets, fabric selections, etc.).  Generate and issue project meeting notes and minutes.  Organize project files, binders, and maintain records.  Coordinate with design staff for seamless project execution.  Participate in occasional site visits, overnight travel, and overtime as needed.  Update weekly project schedules and projections. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities.  Excellent communication skills.  Strong organizational and time management skills.  Ability to deliver high-quality work within time constraints.  Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime to fulfill project requirements. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (preferred).  5+ years of relevant work experience.  Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Excel, Power Point and Photoshop.  Lumion experience is a plus.  Creative problem-solver with a collaborative mindset.  Demonstrate initiative, organizational skills, and communicate proficiently.
