Architectural Designer / Project Manager

DESCRIPTION: CKA Architects is a high-end residential design firm located in Menlo Park. Our company specializes in custom homes and small multi-family projects. Our firm is committed to excellence in design from beginning to end and we take great pride in every project. CKA is seeking an energetic junior to mid-level architectural designer/draftsperson who can assemble residential construction documents from start to finish. QUALIFICATIONS: • 3-6 years experience in an architectural office environment. • Strong design skills • professional background in residential and / or interior design • excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • competency in 3-D modelling • competency in CAD drafting • basic understanding of wood-frame construction is a plus RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • working with team members on all phases of projects from Schematic design to Construction Administration • involvement in many facets of a design and construction project • interaction with consultants and clients • collaborative design of challenging projects • coordination with local Planning and Building Departments • coordination of drawing packages • creation of presentation materials including 3d modeling and animation work This is a full time in-office position. Local/ Bay Area applicants are preferred.
