This Assistant Project Manager role is a true "plug-and-play" opportunity for someone ready to step into complex, high-end commercial interior projects and take ownership from day one. You'll initially manage 1 project while ramping up to a full portfolio, working closely with senior leadership on sophisticated builds. Client Details Our client is a well-established, rapidly growing commercial contractor known for executing complex, high-quality interior and renovation projects across a dynamic regional market. They have been established for 25+ years now and complete work in a multitude of sector such as corporate office, retail, law firms, healthcare, government agencies, hospitality, and more. Description Lead multiple commercial construction projects, primarily focused on high-end interior buildouts and renovationsManage project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and executionCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless deliveryOversee complex scopes including structural upgrades, MEP systems, and specialty integrationsMaintain strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standardsBuild and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholdersUtilize tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project for project tracking and reporting Profile 2-4+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer with a commercial General ContractorProven experience delivering high-end interior or corporate buildout projectsStrong understanding of complex renovation and construction processesExperience working in active commercial environments (office, legal, medical, or similar)Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project preferred)Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skillsLocal market experience in the Mid-Atlantic region strongly preferred Job Offer High visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadershipCompetitiev Base Salary (depending on experience): $70k - $95kOpportunity to work on complex, design-forward interior projectsClear growth path into Project ManagerStrong compensation package with performance-based bonusStable pipeline of diverse, challenging work across multiple sectors MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
