Affiliate Designer

Affiliate Designer Job Description: We are seeking an Affiliate Designer with experience in commercial interiors Responsibilities: • Demonstrates superior attention to detail, organizational skills • Communicates clearly with teammates • Demonstrates technical intelligence in practicing area of architecture and/or interior design • Demonstrates clear understanding of all project phases and sequencing • Develop space plans • Develop site surveys and related documentation • Develop project schedules • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in assembly of Construction Documents • May lead selection of finishes and fixtures • Effectively researches/problem solves to coordinate development of code compliant designs • May oversee all design and drawings • Leads consultant coordination in conjunction with senior architect(s) • Actively leads and mentors’ junior teammates across multiple projects in any phase • May contribute to and manage project scheduling, staffing, budgeting, set up, close out, and profitability • May manage OTJ and consultant invoicing and collections. • Collaborates effectively with all departments Qualifications: • 1-4 years of commercial interior experience (with workplace experience) • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design • Entry level Revit proficiency • Entry level rendering software proficiency (Enscape, Lumion, or other) • Entry level Adobe Creative Suite proficiency • Entry level proficiency in Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) Responsibilities: • Demonstrates superior attention to detail, organizational skills, and effectively manages time to execute upon assigned tasks within set deadlines • Communicates clearly with managing team members • Actively assists team members across multiple projects and phases • Remains under the supervision of senior team members About OTJ: OTJ is a premier architecture and design firm with offices in Washington, D.C., New York City, Miami, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, and Chicago.
