About this role

Administrative Design Assistant needed for fast paced, growing interior design studio. Day to day tasks will include answering phones, purchasing, meeting and appointment coordination, obtaining estimates from trades and vendors, maintaining office library and samples, sourcing and researching product. Qualifications... • This position requires someone who learns quickly, with excellent verbal and written skills. • This individual must be attentive to details, able to multitask, and maintain strong organizational skills. • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in an interior design office. • Must have a positive attitude and hands on approach wherever needed, for tasks large or small. • Candidate must be proficient in, and comfortable with, independently sourcing product and materials, with experience in manufacturer and vendor communications. • Personable, self-motivated and organized. Candidate must be able to handle working on multiple projects at a time while keeping all information, requirements and selections organized. • Must be proficient in AutoCAD • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox • Preferred but not required: Basic knowledge of social media platforms, Photoshop, Design Manager, Google Docs, Sheets Responsibilities: • Managing client communications • Meeting prep and coordination • Answering the phone • Scheduling & Follow ups • Purchasing supplies • Ordering samples, pick-ups and drop offs. • Following up on orders through delivery. • Assist designer with drafting, sketching and rendering touch ups • Assist design team with projects as needed. • Execute personal tasks for Principal • Position requires working closely with vendors, contractors, architects, etc. • Product sourcing, researching product options, and placing custom orders for special products.
