About this role

Job Title We are seeking a part-time faculty member to teach in our Interior Design Program. About the Role The successful candidate will have current knowledge of the Interiors industry, good communication skills, and experience in teaching postsecondary courses in Interior Design. Key Responsibilities • Instruct courses in Interior Design in accordance with credit course outlines approved by the governing body. • Maintain expertise in current teaching methods, discipline knowledge, and discipline specific technologies. • Assist students in achieving stated course objectives, evaluate student progress, and provide support for those who need it. • Participate in curriculum review and assessment to ensure program success. • Coordinate with other faculty members on textbook selection, audiovisual equipment, and instructional materials. • Complete required reporting procedures for student evaluation, course reporting, and budget development. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field and two years of professional experience OR an Associate's degree in interior design or a related field and six years of professional experience. • Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in teaching online courses. • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles. • Demonstrated leadership in developing curriculum for discipline-specific courses.
