Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Intern, Interior Design to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey. You’ll be part of the largest hotel franchise company in the world, where we strive to deliver the best value to our owners and guests. As the Interior Design intern, you will support a range of design projects for their hotels while reporting to the Director of Design. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and gain a practical understanding of interior design within the hospitality industry. This role includes generic design support across the design team and will allow you to own and manage small projects and a special project over the course of the internship.

The Interior Design Manager will assist in the development of interior design concepts, space planning, design development, ensure all technical components of the Prototype design are met (NFPA 701, Wyzenbek durability, ASTM furniture standards, etc), assist with Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment (FF&E) sourcing process to ensure the design is purchasable, ensure the design meets cost targets as defined by Prototype department, review manufacturer shop drawings, gather finishes and samples from manufacturers, review furniture pieces to ensure design compliance, track prototype development project schedule to hit major milestone deadlines, keep sample library clean and organized, assist with pilot projects, and review construction documentation for the WH&R hotel brands. The primary responsibility of the Interior Design Manager will be to support the Prototype Development & Design team. They may assist in the maintenance of brand standards and provide revisions to FF+E packages for multiple hospitality brands as required to keep the product dynamic and marketable. They will be responsible for the management and execution of major brand initiatives to include development of new FF&E packages.
