Work activities to be performed include but not limited to computer aided drafting to develop power equipment parts, assemblies and designs in Inventor and AutoCAD. The position includes associated clerical work to properly manage and document the work activities performed, as per AEP requirements for the position. Find and update all similar Inventor Parts in the same category to ensure alignment of practices and consistency. Collaborate with various departments during the course of the project Education Requirements: Associate degree in applied science (AAS) drafting and computer aided design (CAD) or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology, or relevant equivalent experience and/or education.

• *Must be a US Citizen or Valid Green Card Holder** • *No Third-Party or C2C Firms** Must live within a drivable distance of Edina, MN as this is a hybrid contract role. Entry level design position that provides new and existing commercial, industrial, residential, and internal customers with distribution design project management for the least complex areas of design. • Design safe operating facilities for new and existing customers according to Xcel Energy construction standards and interpret administrative instructions for consistent and cost-effective designs. Responsible for the generation of additional revenue through contracts with new business or existing customers • Obtain permits and easements for facilities in accordance with city ordinances, state, federal, and county agencies.
