Design Assistant
Responsibilities & Duties Support the design team in preparing and assembling high-quality client presentations, including mood boards, material samples, and digital presentations.Oversee the maintenance of the materials library, including organizing and cataloging samples, ensuring all items are properly filed, up to date, and in excellent condition, either through direct execution or by supervising an intern.Attend meetings and site visits as needed; take comprehensive, well-organized notes and distribute summaries to the appropriate parties.Provide basic drafting and drawing support using CAD or other design software under the direction of designers or project leads.Assist in onboarding and training newly hired Interns, providing mentorship on systems, processes, and firm expectations.Assist with the coordination and execution of design installations, including packing, transportation oversight, styling, and on-site setup.Communicate with vendors and showrooms to gather and confirm product information, pricing, lead times, availability, account terms, and order status.Partner with Intern and other team members to maintain a clean, organized, and presentable office environment at all times, ensuring readiness for client and vendor visits.Provide administrative support to the purchasing team, including order entry, data tracking, and document preparation.Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Pillar & Peacock is an interior design firm dedicated to synthesizing beauty and function.
