The role of the internship is to gain professional experience by assisting project teams with design and documentation support and becoming familiar with resources and vendors. Assist members of design teams with multiple project related tasks Perform elementary interiors assignments and works from designs of others Maintain appearance of the print rooms, copy areas and resource library in addition to daily tasks as assigned Provide research assistance as assigned Participate in the production/modifications of the design drafting as directed Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings Participate in design charrettes and project team meetings Assist with updated and organizing interiors resource library Attend “lunch and learn” events and other vendor presentations on an ongoing basis Complete timesheet daily and expense reports accurately and on-time Must be able to work in‑person in Cincinnati (some flexibility with hybrid needs may be discussed/accommodated)

Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft potential design solutions, present customized portfolio presentations tailored to the client’s requirements and preferences to achieve or surpass store and individual design sales goals. Partner with Store and Sales Managers to provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, strategies, and overall in-home design performance. This position holds significant influence over the store’s financial health, team morale and development, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience and reputation in the community. This position reports to the Store Manager of the assigned location with indirect influence of sales team. Monthly bonus opportunity of $0 – $2,000 based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals.
