Interior Designer - 306688 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: DESCRIPTION The Interior Designer will balance creativity and technical expertise to design functional and innovative spaces for a broad range of project types including clients that are local, national, and international. They will assist with the current focus of expanding Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and international project opportunities, along with market-driven diversification including Healthcare, Aviation, Commercial, Transit, and Adaptive Re-Use. * Proficiency in selecting and specifying furniture, finishes and equipment (FF&E) and utilizing database programs for documentation * Development of interior finish concepts, selections of finishes and documentations of specifications * Mentor junior staff and ability to delegate work to other team members * Attend on-site client meetings or construction administration activities requiring periodic local, regional, and/or national travel * Demonstrate creative problem-solving, organizational skills, and a good understanding of construction documents, detailing, and constructability * Works independently, requires minimal guidance and acts as a resource for peers with less experience * Must be able to field questions from contractors on areas of the project they have led during design and construction phases PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from and accredited university and 7+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as a Lead Interior Designer with a range of project experience indicating the design and documentation of architectural/interiors projects * Experience in documenting FF&E specifications and managing all aspects of the FF&E process working with clients and vendors.
