As a Distribution Designer, you can expect to: • Contribute to design engineering packages for Leidos electric utility customers • Assist in the development of work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects, using customer GIS and WMS systems • Gain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities, assessing and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements, and ROW applications • Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities; Perform functional tasks, such as customer follow up activities • Participate in technical review and QAQC efforts within your team • Initiate continuous improvement to workflow processes that drive efficiency and high-quality standards in client design deliverables • Be comfortable in both a field and office setting: the role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages (Job related travel will be reimbused at IRS approved rates) What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements): • Completed Associate's degree in a technical field • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience contributing to US-based electric utility projects • Demonstrated Experience with electric distribution design tools such as MicroStation, DDS or similar • Previous Experience with National Electric Safety Code (NESC) • Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
