Job Summary/Overview: At Fringe Interior Design & Home Furnishings, our focus is our clients. During the 60-day training period, you will receive an hourly rate of $20 and we will provide you with the tools and resources you need to excel in this position and achieve your goals. First year Sales Professionals can expect to earn on average between $40,000 - $65,000. What you’ll be doing: · Greet and engage clients in conversation about their wants and needs · Schedule on site and in home appointments · Source and price furniture, area rugs and accessories · Create design solutions that meet the client’s needs · Translate your vision into a presentation that encourages a purchase · Write sales orders, calculate and process client deposits and balances · Strengthen client relationships through ongoing updates, communication and follow up · Deliver a professional experience for customers from initial meeting to delivery · Independently open/close store and maintain appearance of showroom The skills we are looking for: · Exceptional organization, time management and problem-solving skills · Design knowledge, product specification and space planning abilities · Passion for working directly with clients and providing a positive experience · Empathetic, active listener with excellent communication & customer service skills · High attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines · Dedicated work ethic with a strong desire to proactively take initiative · Maintain client/business confidentiality and work with honesty and integrity · Interior Design degree and/or previous fine furniture sales experience preferred

The ideal candidate should be driven and passionate about interior design and willing to put their creativity to work for their clients. Responsibilities: · Greet and engage clients in conversation about their wants and needs · Schedule on site and in home meetings · Source and price furniture, area rugs and accessories · Create design solutions that meet the client’s needs · Translate your vision into a presentation that encourages a purchase · Write sales orders, calculate and process client deposits and balances · Strengthen client relationships through ongoing updates and communication · Deliver a professional experience for customers from initial meeting to delivery day · Work independently and open/close store · Daily maintenance of showroom and seasonal floor moves Requirements: · Minimum 3 years of employer-related interior design, furniture and/or retail sales experience · Effective closing skills and ability to meet or exceed monthly sales goals · Ability to read and interpret blueprints · Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite · Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Preferred: · Interior Design degree, fine furniture sales and spatial planning experience Experience: • Interior design, furniture and/or retail sales: 3 years (Required)
