The position develops a thorough understanding of client criteria and leads the development of responsive interior design concepts, narratives, presentations, and documentation. Communicates design narrative and intent in a clear and compelling way; demonstrates the incorporation of client’s requirements and goals within the design solution. Assures the integrity of the design concept throughout the life of the project. Reviews design and construction documents and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent. Ability and desire to receive feedback and learn from others’ perspectives.

Required Education, Experience and Credentials • Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program or a B.Arch • At least twelve (12) years of experience as an interior designer in a client services firm • Professional design portfolio • NCIDQ certification or Registered Architect • Sustainable Building Materials certified

The position actively participates in project discussions, reliably completes assigned work, proactively seeks out additional ways to contribute, and builds agility with the organization, components and documentation phases of projects. • Assists with Construction Administration tasks. • Acquires knowledge of project organization, components and documentation phases of a project. Required Education, Experience, and Credentials • Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program or a B.Arch • Internship experience working in an interior design studio or architecture firm • Student design portfolio Technical Skills and Applied Knowledge • Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design: • * Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign • Sketchup • Enscape • Ability to quickly develop facility with: • * Revit • AutoCAD • Ability to contribute design ideas.
