A leading automotive engineering firm in Michigan is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and integration of interior accessory systems for vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in automotive interior accessories, a relevant bachelor's degree, and expertise in regulatory compliance. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensuring product quality and functionality. Proficiency in Catia V5 and strong communication skills are essential for success. A master's degree and additional skills in validation and plastic part design are preferred.

The purpose of this position is to manage and serve is the central contact for office strategies and work environment solutions for the professional office environment working under general direction and guidance of the Facilities manager to coordinate and plan the utilization of new facilities, renovations, layouts equipment updates, and utilities support; may include modernization, maintenance along with investigates and implements Ergonomic, OSHA and EPA requirements, ensuring compliance to local, state, and federal codes. Develops executable plans to support the business needs, corporate objectives and initiatives. • Experience: 3–5+ years in space planning, interior design, or corporate real estate. • Experience with project management and coordination. • Facilitate NPI (new product introductions) process for product development and identify requirements for new products in the market. • Work collaboratively with industrial and manufacturing engineering teams during the NPI process to ensure the highest quality products are delivered. Equivalent education and experience required. • Experience in product development in automotive/heavy truck body interior components required • 3+ years of experience working with automotive/truck or heavy equipment design required, Class 7/8 truck chassis highly desired. • Ability to effectively work as part of a team with demonstrated leadership skills.

· Reviews all drawings to ensure all engineering deliverables and product process requirements have been met · Indentifies and creates process and design specifications for a wide variety of highly complex product components to obtain operational, cost, quality and/or manufacturing feasibility improvements. · Analyzes highly complex design problems and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and / or mathematical principals. · Creates and executes development project cost and timing · Oversees and consults on prototype fabrication processes.
