Interior Planning We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Interior Planner to join our team at Designminds. As an Interior Planner, you will be responsible for developing interior space solutions that meet customer needs. • Involved in design projects and related tasks from inception to final installation. To succeed in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in interior design or a related field, and 3+ years of experience working with Steelcase, Knoll, Herman-Miller, or Allsteel system furniture products.

At a top level, the designer will work with the client to drive workplace strategy. The designer will translate those conversations to the design team and work with the design team to bring the strategy to reality. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of commercial interiors and office furniture, as well as strong skills in programming, research, and proposal development. Key responsibilities include participating in programming activities, developing drawings and specifications, researching products and systems, proposing office furniture items and finishes, and developing pricing and budgetary inputs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CET, commercial interiors, and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for working closely with clients to understand their needs and translate those into comprehensive design concepts. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with account managers and clients to develop programming activities that meet office furniture needs. • Propose office furniture items and finishes that meet client functional, aesthetic, and budgetary needs. • Preferred: Strong knowledge of Healthcare products.

This includes, but is not limited to specifying furniture, materials and finishes and understanding how these elements are detailed in the space. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in programming activities (requirements development) with account manager and client to understand office furniture needs and considerations. • Research products and systems that accomplish the design intent. • Propose office furniture items and finishes to meet client functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs. Desired Qualifications: • CET a plus but not required • Knowledge of commercial interiors and office furniture desired, but not required • Must be proficient in AutoCAD • Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel and Word • Previous CRM experience & proficiency strongly preferred (i.e. NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
