CORE Architects is seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer with 5+ years of professional experience for their Retail Implementation and Interior Design Studio. This is a full-time, in-person, position with a focus on fast paced, technical heavy retail roll-outs and interior design projects . It functions in the residential, retail, hospitality and commercial sectors. Role Responsibilities • An Intermediate Interior Designer is responsible for assisting with the production and execution of projects for SD, DD, CD and CA Phase • Understanding of code and design concepts, able to reference applicable codes and references for implementation • Understanding of CA Phase, tracking and submittals • Ability to produce and execute drawing graphic standards with minimal supervision • Ability to develop innovative and functional design solutions and processes for improved design and quality • Assist with the development of innovative and functional design solutions and processes for improved design and quality • Participate in the creation of the Concept Design, Schematic Design, and Design Development packages, proposals, bidding and tender packages, construction documents, and working budgets • Ensure projects are on track to meet project requirements, deadlines, and budgets and participate in post-construction quality reviews • Assist in the development of material and finish specifications • Participate in the preparation of the specifications and assist with the coordination of the FF&E, interior architecture plans, finishes, and products with the client • Contribute to the review of the design development packages, construction documents, and drawing packages for accuracy, design integrity, and client/brand compliance • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and staff Links to electronic portfolios are also acceptable.
