• *Position Summary** The College of Architecture, Visual Arts, and Design (CAVAD) at California Baptist University seeks highly motivated applicants for a tenure-track faculty of Interior Design, with an anticipated start date of August 2025. The program seeks candidates with university teaching experience and/or critical practice experience. Candidates will be able to successfully demonstrate their ability to teach and carry out a research agenda in the combined areas of Interior Design and another mission-relevant specialization such as sacred space design, evidence based design / design research, community-based design, advanced materials, lighting design, design pedagogy, Christian faith integration, or holds typological expertise in commercial, medical, educational, or religious design**. The role involves translating engineering concepts into detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and digital models to support project execution. **Design Support:** - Develop detailed CAD drawings, layouts, assemblies, and digital models of material handling systems such as unit/package conveyors, bulk material handling equipment, and automated solutions. - Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to translate design concepts and field data into accurate engineering drawings adhering to customer requirements and industry standards. - Basic understanding of material handling equipment and components is required. Certification in CAD software or drafting is beneficial.
