Primarily working from our Ocean City and Stone Harbor store design center locations, utilizing your background in interior design, this role will be responsible for sourcing and selecting indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, rugs, bedding, wall art, wallpaper, custom window treatments, paint and accessories for our design clients. General Accountabilities • Meet with design clients and prepare follow-up proposals and presentations • Develop space planning concepts and mood boards for design clients • Selection of furniture, wallpaper, custom window treatments, paint, floor covering, lighting, bedding & home accessories for design clients • Establishing availability of merchandise and lead time with vendors • Manage the schedules of design projects and client installations with in-house delivery team • Manage client expectations and foster open communication along with clear budget guidelines • Travel to client sites, retail/design center and HQ/warehouse as needed; must be comfortable working in a retail/design center showroom environment • Track design project work and billing using project tracking application • Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends to accommodate client appointments, special retail events, and project deadlines • Working with manufacturers and meeting with reps Job Qualifications • Must have 5+ years professional interior design work experience with a design firm or independent design studio • Experience using AutoCAD (preferred but not required), or other floor plan rendering programs • Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, project-to-project environment • Ability to communicate articulately along with excellent customer service skills • Ability to work independently with high-end clients • Highly organized with strong project and time management skills • Enjoy working in a professional team environment with the ability to collaborate on projects • Must be willing to travel to all retail design centers and client locations as needed Skills • Excellence in interior design principles and practices • Knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers commonly used in residential interior design work • Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to convey concepts and ideas clearly • Excellent organizational skills and outstanding attention to detail • Manage multiple projects simultaneously on a daily basis • Project Management for both small and full scope projects • Previous retail sales experience in a furniture or home decor environment a plus Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
