At Floor amp; Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget./pp/ppubMinimum Eligibility Requirements/b/u/pulliMinimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience/lilispanDegree in Design is a plus/span/liliKnowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus/liliProficient in basic mathematical skills/liliMust be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment/liliExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills/liliBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite/liliInternal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position/li/ulp/ppubEssential Functions/b/u/pulliGreet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs/liliSchedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store/liliProviding tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects./liliDesign and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions/liliManage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others.
