Space Planner

Responsibilities: Gather, analyze, and coordinate customer space and occupancy requirementsAssist government personnel in identifying and resolving immediate and future space planning and occupancy needsPerform field measurements and validate existing facility conditionsConduct space audits to verify occupancy, utilization, personnel bed-downs, and space allocation accuracyResolve spatial orientation and space utilization challenges within assigned facilitiesDevelop and modify space layouts, floor plans, and occupancy configurations using AutoCAD and RevitReview and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and floor plansCoordinate projects and planning efforts with engineers, designers, project managers, quality assurance personnel, furniture teams, and government stakeholdersPrepare recommendations regarding facility utilization, occupancy planning, and strategic space management initiativesGenerate utilization, capacity, occupancy, and vacancy reports using the ARCHIBUS databaseMaintain accurate space inventory and occupancy recordsAssist in identifying gaps and discrepancies within accountable space inventories, including 1450 and 1450-1 accountable spacesSupport planning studies, compliance documentation, and facility planning reportsFacilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements related to space planning effortsPrepare written communications, briefings, and presentations for senior leadershipManage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet organizational requirements and deadlinesPerform domestic and international travel as required to conduct facility assessments and space audits Requirements Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI PolygraphBachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, or a related field and 6+ years of expereince or 10+ years of expereince in lieu of a degreeExperience using ARCHIBUS Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) softwareProficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for space planning and facility layout developmentExperience conducting facility space audits, occupancy assessments, and utilization studiesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe productsExcellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting senior leadershipAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including periodic overseas travel Desired: Experience supporting Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other federal government facilitiesKnowledge of facility management, workplace strategy, and strategic space planning principlesExperience supporting large-scale occupancy planning or relocation initiativesFamiliarity with facility utilization metrics, occupancy analytics, and reporting methodologiesExperience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams in secure or mission-critical environments Benefits Benefits Tesla Laboratories offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and long-term success of our employees, including: Competitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan with company contributionPaid time off and federal holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesSupportive, family-focused company cultureOpportunities for long-term career growth within a growing SDVOSB
