Your Role As a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with talented colleagues to enhance Gensler’s culture for design excellence, elevate the quality of design, and achieve recognition for our clients and the firm. You are a mix of strategic and creative, with the ability to create great form while embracing sound business strategy. Use your unique design perspective to lead design teams, develop next-generation talent, bring new approaches to the design process, and help our clients redesign what’s possible. Responsibilities Utilize your experience to perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentationParticipate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingCreates initial concept packages with a strong design story, to guide the design process through project completionConducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at final approved plan that meet the goals of clientsSculpts interior spaces as a holistic experience including specification of furniture, lighting, artwork and finishes/materialsLeads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage communication and coordination with clients and consultantsCommunicates design ideas and direction quicklyWork with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesParticipates in the construction administration of projects - including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intentRequirements NCIDQ or RID Certification requiredBachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program5+ years of interior design experienceStrong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic softwareDetailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables (furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications)Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to communicate design ideas and direction quicklyPassionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficientNice-to-haves LEED Accreditation a plusBenefits medicaldentalvisiondisabilitywellness programsflex spendingpaid holidayspaid time off401kprofit sharingemployee stock ownershiptwice annual bonus opportunitiesreimbursement for certain professional licenses and associated renewals and exam feesreimbursement tuition for certain eligible programs or classes
