Interior Design Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and creative Interior Design Assistant to join our innovative design team. This job is part time with flexible work hours and days of your choosing. Atleast 1-2 days a week in person for meeting in Salt Lake City or Park City. There could be potential to move into a full time position in 6 months. In this role, you will support the development of inspiring interior spaces by assisting with conceptualization, technical drawings, material selection, and visual presentations. Your enthusiasm for interior aesthetics and strong organizational skills will help bring visionary spaces to life while learning from seasoned professionals. Responsibilities Collaborate with senior designer to develop interior concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials. Assist in creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations using design software such as AutoCAD. Support material and finish selections by researching textures, colors, and furnishings that align with project themes. Prepare digital presentations and other design software to communicate design ideas effectively. Help organize project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and progress reports. Participate in site visits to observe project implementation and ensure design accuracy. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Autocad is required Strong understanding of interior design principles including layout design, color theory, and space planning. Ability to produce hand-drawn illustrations and digital visualizations that communicate creative ideas clearly. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A background or coursework in interior design or related visual arts disciplines is desirable.
