Senior Interior Designer-Workplace

As a Stantec Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft, combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills, and understand how to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. Your Key Responsibilities • Technical Leadership & Innovation in architecture and design; • Lead interior design teams on workplace projects; • Collaborate on workplace interiors projects including workplace strategy, programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development and management of budgets and schedules; • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents; • Participate in the selection of furniture systems and specifications; • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specification and material selections required for construction; • Work with consultants, corporate real estate teams, developers, furniture dealers, product reps and fabricators to meet overall project objectives; • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination; • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs; • Participate in business development and marketing efforts; • Assure that design conforms to a contractual agreement with the client; • Establish and maintain ongoing productive client relationships; • Champion innovation in modular design, sustainability, and integrated building systems; • Develop and maintain Stantec's architectural standards, specifications, and design guidelines; • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, accessibility standards, and environmental regulations; • Publish technical articles and contribute to thought leadership initiatives; • Balance strategic initiatives with hands-on project execution, managing multiple priorities in parallel; • Lead site planning, building layout, and integration of architectural systems across multiple disciplines.
