In this role, you will review work orders for appropriateness, including site visits with internal department heads to determine appropriateness of requests, space planning and problem solving to find creative solutions, and order fulfillment and installation coordination and supervision to ensure efficiency and quality. You will assist with pre-quarter classroom setup and events as needed, conduct building inspections, supervise support services and maintenance technicians, and complete order fulfillment to meet needs for facility changes, additions, and improvements. Among other duties, you will maintain project schedules and adhere to deadlines, and organize and maintain the design library, current project information, and old projects. You will also lead a setup team and departmental moves, meet with departmental heads to assess needs, and supervise tradesmen and contractors during implementation.

As a SCAD professor, you will equip students with the expertise and fluency to employ theory, research, function, culture, material, and technology in the design of interior spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong professional portfolio as well as teaching experience in conceptual design through design development and construction documents, space planning, FF&E, sustainability, materials, regulatory compliance, and oral and visual presentation.
