Lead Design Specialist
Pay Range $17.75 - $26.25 Purpose: Minimum Eligibility Requirements BA or AA in Interior Design, or 6 years of relevant interior design experience in lieu of formal education.A combination of education and experience totaling 6 years.Preferred prior retail/sales experience.Knowledge of hard surface flooring is advantageous.Proficient in basic mathematical skills.Self-motivated and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Internal candidates must have at least 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position.Essential Functions Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with residential and professional customers in the industry.Welcome and assist store customers, addressing design walk-in needs.Manage design appointments for existing and prospective customers, expanding clientele through networking, referrals, and store-generated leads.Offer expertise in tile, wood, stone, and accessories to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.Create and sell comprehensive, functional, and visually appealing design solutions.Oversee multiple simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up, ensuring clear communication with customers and stakeholders.Collaborate with store leadership and team members to manage projects from inquiry to installation, achieving sales and other objectives.Support all company initiatives by exemplifying and coaching best practices among store employees.Stay engaged with current and emerging design trends in the market.Utilize design applications, such as Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject effectively.Participate in local professional affiliations like ASID and NKBA.Perform additional duties as assigned.Working Conditions
