Chapin Furniture is looking to grow our Interior Design team. We are located in one of the fastest growing regions of South Carolina, near Lake Murray and Columbia, SC. It's not uncommon for us to be engaged in furnishing and decorating large, custom homes in our area, and we have established ourselves in the market as one of the leading local design and furnishings providers. We are looking for a seasoned designer, already trained and experienced, to join our team and assist us in designing and selling in our market via retail selling in our 30,000 square foot home furnishings showroom, as well as through design visits with our clients in their homes.

We are a family owned business, and the owners are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the store, but require our store manager to provide the primary leadership for our team. The nature of our business includes retail sales of home furnishings, mattresses, rugs, home decor, and interior design services. Our sales manager must also be able to embrace our core values, and help lead our team in fulfilling these core values in the with each other in the workplace, and with our customers. Serve others as we would want to be served (the Golden Rule). Previous training and experience in Interior Design is required, along with an enthusiastic, energetic attitude, a strong sales ability, and a good eye for current design.
