A day in the life as a Designer... • Drive sales and a differentiated experience by providing enriching customer interactions, and providing elevated design offerings in the store, in-home and virtually with customers • Create elevated designs for customers using the preferred design tools to create moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists and customer presentations • Lead design consultations in person (in-store or in-home) or via email, phone and virtual • Deliver projects in a timely manner and within determined timelines • Possess a clear understanding of the brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel; Store, E-Commerce, Catalog • Ensure full understanding and awareness of all product information, including characteristics, care information and staying informed with the competition and industry trends • Deliver individual sales, KPI and service goals, productivity standards, and engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating our selling skills • Actively listen to the customer to identify which products will best meet their needs and communicate company loyalty services. Summary Essential Functions Design Studio & Showroom Operations • Supports design studio processes and manages reports and tracking information for assigned projects • Oversees the physical showroom, including maintenance, samples, and displays • Works with the Design Studio Manager and vendors to correctly sample and display programs in showrooms • Orders office and design studio supplies and maintains office equipment • Assists in setting up new accounts and new design studios Process Improvement & Manager Support • Identifies opportunities for process improvement • Assists the Design Studio Manager as needed Skills & Competencies • Bilingual experience preferred but not required (English/Spanish) • Must have a thorough knowledge of all available products used by the Company as it relates to product installation • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner • Proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues • Displays willingness to make decisions • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in the decision-making process, and makes timely decisions • Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process • Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, and order processing systems If you like working with a growing close knit team and helping home owners design the home of their dreams, come build your career with us!
