About this role

Description Design. People. Trust LRS Architects is looking for a Design Coordinator for our Multi-Family Housing Studio. You'll play a key role in the development and coordination of housing projects from early design through construction. Working closely with Design Managers, Design Leads, consultants, and project teams, you'll help transform design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions that support our clients' goals and strengthen communities. What You’ll Do Support the design and technical development of multifamily housing projects through all phases of design and constructionProduce and coordinate BIM models, construction documents, details, schedules, and project deliverablesCollaborate with project teams to advance project goals related to quality, budget, schedule, and design intentCoordinate assigned technical work with engineering consultants and other project disciplinesAssist with building planning, code research, accessibility requirements, unit layouts, amenity spaces, and project documentationApply firm standards, BIM protocols, quality assurance processes, and project guidelinesCommunicate effectively with project team members, consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies as directedManage assigned tasks and deadlines while anticipating future project needsSupport project activities during construction administration, including responding to contractor questions and reviewing project documentationContinue developing technical expertise, project coordination skills, and professional growth through mentorship and project experience. Apply online at: https://lrsarchitects.com/workwithus Requirements WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)Approximately 4–6 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceProficiency in Revit and BIM-based project deliveryExperience preparing and coordinating construction documentsStrong organizational and time management skillsEffective verbal, written, and graphic communication abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Skills And Experience We Value Experience working on multifamily housing, mixed-use, affordable housing, workforce housing, student housing, senior living, or similar residential projectsKnowledge of residential building codes, accessibility requirements, and housing design principlesExperience coordinating consultant work, including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplinesAbility to develop and coordinate technical documentation through multiple project phasesUnderstanding of construction materials, building systems, detailing, and constructabilityExperience supporting projects through construction administrationStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailProgress toward architectural licensure or professional certification is a plus.
