This part-time role supports the Principal Designer with daily operations, client communications, procurement, project coordination, and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless experience for clients, vendors, and trade partners. The ideal candidate enjoys both the creative and operational sides of design and is comfortable managing everything from order tracking and vendor communication to showroom support and hands-on studio tasks. Willingness to assist with both administrative responsibilities and hands-on studio tasks. Part-time availability of approximately 20 hours per week, including a minimum of 8 hours per week working in the studio during showroom hours.

Key Responsibilities • Assisting with ordering, tracking orders, and resolving damage claims with vendors • Assisting with preparing client estimates and processing client invoices • General administrative support including coordinating with the bookkeeper, builders, contractors and trade professionals • Comfortable managing all facets of the work, including the behind-the-scenes tasks like unpacking packages, managing sample library, assisting and supporting photo shoots, and making returns. • Greeting and assisting walk-in clients during open showroom hours Skills & Qualifications • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Mary Best Designs is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented design assistant to support a high end interior design studio and furniture and home decor showroom. The ideal candidate is both design-minded and highly organized, with a professional and positive demeanor and a willingness to take initiative in all aspects of the design process. This is a part-time position assisting the principal designer, and days/times are flexible.
