Role Description Mary Best Designs is seeking a highly organized, and detail-oriented Studio Manager to help keep a boutique interior design studio running smoothly. This part-time role supports the Principal Designer with daily operations, client communications, procurement, project coordination, and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless experience for clients, vendors, and trade partners. The ideal candidate enjoys both the creative and operational sides of design and is comfortable managing everything from order tracking and vendor communication to showroom support and hands-on studio tasks. Key Responsibilities Assist with procurement, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and resolving damage claims with vendors. Prepare client estimates, process invoices, and maintain accurate project records. Provide administrative support and coordinate communications with clients, vendors, bookkeepers, builders, contractors, and trade professionals. Manage the studio sample library, organize materials, and maintain an orderly workspace. Assist with installations, product deliveries, photo shoots, and other project-related activities. Handle behind-the-scenes studio tasks, including unpacking packages, making returns, and running local errands. Greet and assist walk-in clients during showroom hours. Support the Principal Designer with day-to-day project coordination and studio operations. Skills & Qualifications Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Professional, clear, and friendly communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to anticipating needs and next steps. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with common office software and able to learn new systems quickly. Interest in interior design, furnishings, and the design industry preferred. Willingness to assist with both administrative responsibilities and hands-on studio tasks. Requirements Must be local to the Milwaukee area. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for errands, site visits, product pickups, and deliveries. Part-time availability of approximately 20 hours per week, including a minimum of 8 hours per week working in the studio during showroom hours.
