Our growing contract furniture dealership is looking for Designers with industry related expertise to join our team. The Designer’s areas of expertise:Design• Consults with client and project team members to identify project parameters • Conducts site analysis and field verification including furniture inventory • Participates in key project meetings from project conception to completion • Makes product and finish selections relative to the specific needs of the client and within budgetary considerations • Develops furniture plans including technology, electrical and communication data for use with project team members including the client, architectural and design firms, contractors, and sub- contractors • Working knowledge and follows all local, state, and national building codes as they relate to the workplace space plan, furniture and finishes to ensure proper ergonomics and workplace safety • Develops detailed furniture plans, renderings, and finish schedules to ensure clear communication of all proposed furniture layouts, products, and finishes as well as architectural enhancements.• Develops detailed specifications for furniture, finishes and accessories. • Provides frequent and regular status updates to customer regarding project and work order status • Attends project and account meetings as necessary The Designer is responsible for, in conjunction with the Account Manager: Sales Order Management • Develop typical, layouts, and product specifications in conjunction with internal project services and outside parties, including furniture manufacturers, sales reps, and A&D firms • Develops and provides presentation for products and services and explains those details to the customer as required• Produces timely, detailed, and accurate project quotes• Maintains project budget and guarantees business profitability through accurate costs and sell amounts for all product and services based on contract pricing, gross margin guidelines, and established service pricing • Introduces new products and services to grow and expand business with existing customers • Ensures documentation standards are maintained for all account activities and compiles with dealership process and procedures Project & Work Order Management • Oversees all customer projects and work orders, ensuring standards of performance are met • Manages and coordinates dealer team for implementation of customer orders and service requests including project managers, installation managers, customer representatives/project coordinators, installation crews, etc. Key Strengths:• Proficiency in AutoCAD required, CET Designer experience is a plus and can be from the collegiate environment.• Knowledge of space planning and furniture layouts • Systems specification skills and contract furniture experience is highly preferred • Experience with Project Matrix/Project Spec or other similar specification tool is desired • Proficient in budgeting and pricing commercial furniture • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is beneficial • Ability to work in a team environment while also being self-motivated with minimal supervision • Strong organizational and communication skills • Detailed oriented • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently • Familiar with office environment issues and trends Creative CultureCreative Business Interiors offers a great environment for our team members to grow and learn.
