Commercial Office Designer / Space Planner

Location: Raleigh, NC (In-Office) Join Our Growing Office Solutions Team We are seeking an experienced Commercial Office Designer / Space Planner to join our Office Solutions team in Raleigh, NC. This role is ideal for a design professional who enjoys creating functional, efficient, and visually appealing workplace environments while collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing commercial office spaces, specifying furniture solutions, and managing projects from concept through installation. We are looking for a team-oriented professional with strong technical design skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Raleigh, NC. Key Responsibilities Workplace Design & Space Planning Design commercial office environments that align with client goals, operational needs, and budget requirementsDevelop space plans, furniture layouts, and workstation configurations utilizing industry-standard design softwareCreate accurate floor plans, furniture specifications, and installation drawingsIncorporate existing furniture and assets into workplace designs when appropriate Furniture Specification & Project Coordination Specify commercial furniture, finishes, and accessories that support project objectives and workplace functionalityCollaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to identify the best solutions for each projectPrepare furniture specifications, product recommendations, and supporting documentationPlace and track furniture orders to ensure timely delivery and successful project execution Client & Team Collaboration Partner with clients, sales representatives, and project teams throughout the design processPresent design concepts, space plans, and furniture solutions to clientsManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlinesTake ownership of project timelines, deliverables, and weekly workload management Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of commercial office design, furniture specification, or space planning experienceDegree or equivalent experience in Interior Design, Commercial Design, Architecture, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of commercial furniture systems, workplace design principles, and space planningProficiency in AutoCAD and CAP 2020Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment Preferred Experience working for a commercial furniture dealership or office solutions providerFamiliarity with major furniture manufacturers and product linesKnowledge of current workplace trends, ergonomics, and hybrid office environments What We Offer Competitive compensationComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plansCollaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to work on diverse commercial workplace projectsProfessional growth and development opportunities If you are passionate about workplace design and enjoy helping organizations create productive and engaging office environments, we encourage you to apply.
