Showroom Coordinator / Design Assistant Location: Chelsea, Michigan Company: Horizon Kitchen & Bath Compensation: $20–24 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Part-Time (20–30 hours per week) Position Type: Temporary (Approximately 3 months) with potential for long-term growth About Us Horizon Kitchen & Bath is a locally owned kitchen and bath design and remodeling company serving Chelsea, Dexter, Ann Arbor, Manchester, and the surrounding communities. We help homeowners create beautiful, functional spaces by combining thoughtful design, quality materials, and professional installation. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused individual to help manage our showroom and support daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and creating a welcoming environment for customers. While the primary responsibilities are administrative and customer-facing, there is also an opportunity to learn the kitchen and bath design industry and potentially grow into a larger role within the company. Responsibilities Open and close the showroom during scheduled business hours Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries Monitor and respond to email communications Greet walk-in customers and gather preliminary project information Schedule consultations and manage calendars Maintain customer lead records and project information Assist with showroom organization and presentation Coordinate communication between customers, designers, and project staff Support general office operations and administrative tasks Assist with marketing and social media projects as needed Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Comfortable using computers, email, and scheduling software Professional and friendly demeanor Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Bonus Qualifications Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Interior design Kitchen and bath design Construction or remodeling Real estate Sales or customer service Office administration Growth Opportunity For the right candidate, this position may evolve into a larger role within the company.
