Senior Interior Design Assistant / Senior Design Coordinator We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Interior Design Assistant / Design Coordinator to join our team. This is a key role for someone with 5+ years of experience in the interior design industry who is ready to take ownership, anticipate needs, and serve as the right hand to the Principal Designer. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, resourceful, proactive, and exceptional at follow-through. You understand that successful design projects require more than a great eye—they require constant communication, attention to detail, strong relationships, and the ability to keep clients, vendors, reps, and trades moving in the right direction. What You'll Be Doing Supporting the Principal Designer in the day-to-day management of multiple interior design projectsManaging project details, timelines, priorities, and follow-upCommunicating professionally and confidently with clientsCoordinating with vendors, manufacturer reps, showrooms, contractors, and tradesFollowing up on orders, pricing, lead times, samples, and outstanding project itemsKeeping projects organized and identifying potential issues before they become problemsManaging and directing trades and project partners when neededMaintaining strong vendor and industry relationshipsResearching products, materials, vendors, and solutionsTaking detailed notes and ensuring action items are completedHelping manage the many moving parts of high-level residential design projectsAnticipating what needs to happen next rather than waiting to be askedSome Travel will be required The Right Person for This Role You are someone who is naturally organized and detail-oriented. You don't let things fall through the cracks, and following up is second nature to you. You are comfortable picking up the phone, solving problems, asking questions, and getting answers. You communicate well with clients and understand the importance of professionalism, discretion, and providing an exceptional client experience. You have established knowledge of the interior design industry and are familiar with vendors, manufacturer reps, showrooms, workrooms, and trades. Most importantly, you are proactive. You don't simply wait for a task list—you pay attention, anticipate needs, and take ownership. Qualifications 5+ years of professional interior design industry experienceStrong knowledge of the interior design process and project workflowExperience working with vendors, reps, contractors, and tradesExceptional organizational and follow-up skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong client communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing prioritiesResourceful and confident problem solverComfortable taking initiative and working independentlyHigh level of attention to detailProfessional, dependable, and accountableThis position is ideal for an experienced design professional who loves the details, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and wants to play an important role in helping a growing design firm successfully execute exceptional projects.
