The Opportunity
This role is designed for a motivated Junior Interior Designer ready to grow within a fast-moving boutique firm. You will support all phases of design while developing the skills, confidence, and ownership required to evolve into a Lead Designer.
This is not a passive role. This is an active, hands-on position for someone who wants to learn fast, contribute immediately, and grow intentionally.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support & Execution
Assist in developing design concepts, concept boards, renderings and presentations
Create and revise floor plans, elevations, and design drawings
Support material and FF&E sourcing aligned with project vision
Prepare client-facing presentations with clarity and polish
Project Coordination
Track selections, specifications, and project details with precision
Manage sample orders, vendor communication, and follow-ups
Support timelines, installations, and project logistics
Maintain organized and accurate project files
Client & Team Communication
Attend client meetings; capture notes and action items
Communicate professionally with vendors, trades, and team members
Provide timely updates to support a seamless client experience
Studio Operations Support
Maintain design library and materials organization
Assist with installations, photoshoots, and styling
Contribute to a positive, proactive studio culture
These responsibilities reflect the real workflow of a boutique firm; accuracy, follow-through, and communication are everything.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
1–2 years of experience in a design studio environment
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Suites, Asana and design tools
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Clear written and verbal communication
Reliable transportation
Willingness to communicate directly with vendors and subcontractors by phone when appropriate, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication

Hourly pay based on experience
Growth Path
This role is designed as a steppingstone to:
Junior Designer → Intermediate Designer → Lead Designer
With demonstrated performance, you will:
Take ownership of smaller projects
Lead portions of client presentations
Manage vendor relationships independently
Contribute to design direction and project strategy
