Interior Design Project Coordinator | Studio & Design Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Rochester Hills, MI (Hybrid)
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
Join a High-End Residential Interior Design Studio
An established luxury residential interior design firm is seeking an experienced Studio & Design Coordinator to help keep projects, clients, and operations running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a highly organized environment and enjoys being the hub that keeps complex design projects moving forward.
Working alongside an experienced design team, you'll coordinate luxury residential new construction and renovation projects from concept through installation while helping deliver an exceptional client experience.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for a proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, managing details, improving processes, and taking ownership of their work.
What You'll Do
Project Coordination
Coordinate residential interior design projects from initial planning through installationMaintain organized digital project files and documentationTrack timelines, selections, approvals, specifications, and outstanding itemsCoordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and trade partnersSchedule meetings, site visits, deliveries, and installationsPrepare meeting agendas, document notes, and follow up on action items
Design Support
Create polished client presentations and design boardsOrganize finish schedules, specifications, and product informationAssist with furniture, fixture, finish, and material researchMaintain the design library and sample inventorySupport client meetings and project installations
Client Experience
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and contractorsHelp deliver a polished, luxury-level customer experienceKeep clients informed throughout the design and construction processEnsure projects remain organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
Studio Operations
Improve workflows and internal systemsLeverage technology and AI tools to increase efficiencyIdentify opportunities to improve organization and communicationProvide general operational support wherever needed
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and enjoys creating order from complex projects. You naturally anticipate what needs to happen next and take pride in keeping everything on track.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:Interior DesignArchitectureConstructionProject CoordinationProject ManagementOr another highly detail-oriented professional environmentExcellent organizational and administrative skillsStrong technology aptitude and willingness to learn new softwareExperience with Canva or similar presentation softwareProficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) or comparable platformsExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar design software is a plus but not requiredReliable transportation for occasional site visits and installations
