Director of Interior Design & Furnishings

Job Summary Biombos Madrid Interior Design & Furnishings LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Interior Design & Furnishings to provide creative and operational leadership across interior design, furniture specification, space planning, sourcing, and project delivery. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary design teams, establish creative direction, manage client relationships, and oversee projects from concept development through procurement, installation, and final presentation. What You'll Do Lead creative direction for residential, commercial, hospitality, and lifestyle interior projects Manage senior designers, interior designers, project coordinators, and creative specialists Develop design concepts, space plans, material palettes, furniture selections, and presentation packages Oversee furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, textiles, and decorative specifications Lead client presentations, design reviews, and project-development meetings Manage design schedules, project budgets, procurement requirements, and installation timelines Build relationships with furniture manufacturers, artisans, suppliers, showrooms, and trade partners Oversee sourcing, purchasing, custom furnishings, and vendor coordination Establish design standards, documentation procedures, and quality-control processes Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and installation teams Monitor interior design trends, materials, furnishings, and emerging design technologies Mentor design teams and support creative development across the organization Requirements Significant experience in interior design, furnishings, FF&E, or related creative leadership roles Proven experience leading design teams and managing high-quality interior projects Strong portfolio demonstrating interior design, space planning, material selection, and furnishings expertise Advanced understanding of FF&E specification, sourcing, procurement, and installation Experience managing client relationships, project budgets, schedules, and vendors Proficiency with relevant design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable platforms Strong creative leadership, presentation, communication, and project-management capabilities Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred Why Work With Us Competitive director-level compensation Performance-based bonus opportunities Creative leadership across distinctive interior projects Opportunity to shape the company’s design direction and furnishings portfolio Collaboration with designers, architects, artisans, and industry partners Professional development and design-industry engagement About the Company Biombos Madrid Interior Design & Furnishings LLC provides interior design, furnishings, space-planning, and creative styling solutions.
