Senior Interior Designer

This is a leadership role within a growing boutique studio, ideal for a designer who takes full ownership of their projects, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings both creative excellence and operational rigor to their work. Lead and execute full-service interior design projects, including new construction, large-scale renovations, and furnishing-only scopes Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and project partners throughout the project lifecycle Own project timelines, budgets, and profitability, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and firm standards Lead and oversee Associate Designer and Design Assistant through all phases of the design process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and design integrity Produce and oversee technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, lighting plans, and custom furniture drawings Lead the design and documentation of all cabinetry across projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and custom millwork Develop thoughtful material palettes, finishes, and FF&E selections aligned with project budgets and timelines Prepare and present design concepts and client presentations with confidence and clarity, articulating the “why” behind design decisions Develop and manage detailed construction documentation and specifications Collaborate closely with Oslo Design Co.’s operations and procurement partners on pricing, proposals, and order management Coordinate with contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure design intent is executed with precision Conduct site surveys, attend site visits, and lead installations and styling Proactively identify challenges, manage risk, and implement thoughtful, solutions-oriented problem solving Lead the client experience with professionalism and clarity, fostering trust and long-term relationships Maintain consistent, high-level communication across all stakeholders throughout the life of each project Have 5–8+ years of experience in a residential design firm, with demonstrated leadership on high-end construction projects Possess a solid foundation of residential construction knowledge, including an understanding of materials, methods, and how design decisions translate in the field Are highly proficient in AutoCAD and comfortable with tools such as Canva, Studio Designer, Google Workspace and project management platforms Have deep experience managing projects from initial concept through final installation Possess strong leadership skills and enjoy mentoring and developing junior team members Understand project financials, including budgeting, pricing, and profitability Are highly organized, process-driven, and able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams Bring a calm, solutions-oriented mindset to challenges and decision-making Have a strong eye for detail and believe exceptional design is built through thoughtful execution Are proactive, self-directed, and take ownership of your work Thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment Are passionate about architecture, interiors, and creating meaningful, lasting spaces Oslo Design Co. is a boutique interior design firm specializing in high-end residential new builds and renovations. Interior Design Assistant

The Design Assistant will support the Oslo Design Co. team with daily studio operations, procurement logistics, and project preparation. Receive, unbox, and inspect client purchases, samples, and vendor shipments Organize, label, and track all incoming items, ensuring accuracy and condition upon arrival Maintain organized storage systems for project materials, furnishings, and accessories Monitor incoming deliveries from USPS, FedEx, UPS and vendors, adjusting workflow based on delivery schedules Coordinate with the team to track inventory and flag missing, damaged, or incorrect items Prepare and organize items for project installs, including pulling, packing, and labeling Coordinate delivery or drop-off of materials and furnishings to job sites, contractors, and vendors as needed Prepare and organize all materials, furnishings, and accessories for install days Assist with install day setup, styling, and breakdown as needed Support preparation for photoshoots and final styling Ensure all items are accounted for and ready for execution prior to install Assist designers with general project-related tasks and organization Support upkeep of project materials, samples, and documentation Provide hands-on support to ensure projects move forward efficiently and accurately Capture behind-the-scenes content during installs, site walks, and day-to-day studio activities Assist in creating simple, design-forward content such as flat lays, short videos, and in-studio moments for social media Support light marketing initiatives, including organizing or contributing to content ideas discussed by the team Maintain the daily cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the studio, ensuring it is consistently client- and team-ready Reset and tidy the studio at the start and end of each day, including surfaces, materials, sample library, and shared spaces Are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over your work Take pride in maintaining clean, orderly, and well-functioning spaces Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Enjoy hands-on, operational work and are willing to jump in where needed Are reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented Communicate clearly and work well within a team environment Have an interest in interior design or business operations Are comfortable using basic digital tools such as Google Drive and spreadsheets Are comfortable capturing simple photo and video content and have an eye for aesthetically pleasing, brand-aligned visuals Act as a reliable and supportive team member, contributing to a positive and collaborative studio environment Take initiative in completing tasks and identifying areas where support is needed Uphold Oslo Design Co.’s standards for organization, professionalism, and execution Contribute to capturing and supporting brand storytelling through thoughtful, on-the-ground content creation This position will begin as a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in the studio for a minimum of one hour per day, Monday through Friday.

Associate Interior Designer

Oslo Design Co. is a full-service interior design firm located in Madison, WI. • Orders and maintains inventory of client welcome gifts. • Takes the lead on styling and furniture installations, ensuring that all deliveries and installations are completed to the highest standards and in line with project timelines. • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Interior Design, or similar field, preferred • 2+ years of experience running interior design projects, including remodels and new construction • Proficiency in AutoCAD required • Experience with Studio Designer, Canva, Instagram, and Adobe Suite is a plus • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes and furnishings • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and work collaboratively with contractors, builders and trades • Strong portfolio that showcases your previous work • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license Experience: • Interior Design: 2 years (Required)
