RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Works closely with the Principal Designer to understand project goals and client requirements. • Conducts site measurements and draws accurate as-built floor plans in AutoCAD. • Creates new floor plans, elevation drawings and electrical layouts in AutoCAD. • Sources materials, fixtures, finishes, furnishings, artwork and accessories, ensuring selections align with project goals and budgets. • Creates mood boards and design portfolios. • Creates and maintains Spec Books and FF&E Schedules and product selection documentation. • Assists with product re-selections as needed due to availability, budget or design changes. • Manages orders, tracks shipments, and ensures timely delivery of all project-related purchases. • Collaborates with architects, builders, and contractors on details of the design. • Plays an active role in the inquiry process, from initial contact to contract signing. • Orders and maintains inventory of client welcome gifts. • Fosters an exceptional client experience, from initial onboarding to the final good-bye. • Maintains knowledge of wholesale vendors and sub-contractors to support sourcing and purchasing. • Organizes and maintains digital and physical project files. • Conducts site visits during the construction phase, collaborating with builders and contractors to ensure accurate execution of design plans. • Prepares and issues meeting minutes and site visit reports to track progress and action items. • Takes the lead on styling and furniture installations, ensuring that all deliveries and installations are completed to the highest standards and in line with project timelines. • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design. • Support social media posting. • Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Interior Design, or similar field, preferred • 2+ years of experience running interior design projects, including remodels and new construction • Proficiency in AutoCAD required • Experience with Studio Designer, Canva, Instagram, and Adobe Suite is a plus • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes and furnishings • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and work collaboratively with contractors, builders and trades • Strong portfolio that showcases your previous work • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license ABOUT THE POSITION: This is a part-time role, approximately 20-30 hours per week. Must be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-3. Other workdays include Mondays and/or Wednesdays. Additional hours may be required during peak times. Compensation: $25,000-$40,000 (20-30 hrs/wk) • Benefits include employee discounts, potential for incentive pay, and bonuses. • Position does not included health insurance or 401K.
