About this role
Your Role
As a GenslerTechnical Designer,focusing on commercial interior environments,you will provide design support for completion/execution of design concepts, prepare schematic, designdevelopmentand construction documentation drawings, resolve design issues, analyze design options, and execute projects through construction administration.
You will be working with the team to complete assignments on schedule and withgreat qualityto meet our clients' expectations. You will be expected to resolve technical/design issues tomaintainprogress and quality control and to communicate between the project team and consultants. You will be responsibleto meetbuilding codes and all necessary deadlines in orderto fullymeet client expectations.
What You Will Do
Collaborate on all phases of a Corporate Workplace oriented interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development, constructiondocumentationand construction administration
Ability to ideate quickly throughutilizingcomputational design tools
Direct the technical coordination and documentation for construction of the project
Collaborate with the team during the design, planning and development phases with building technology and code complianceexpertise
Produce drawings and details, which meet various and specific program requirements while alsorepresentingan overall design concept
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction
Interface with building andpermittingofficials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
Assistin managing client expectations, teamcommunicationand consultant coordination
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
Bachelor orMastersDegree in Architecture or InteriorDesign, preferably with experience designing corporate interiors projects
10+years of professional experience with focus on Architecture or Interior Design
Licensed Architect OR NCIDQ preferred
LEED accreditation encouraged
Experience resolving technical and design issues
Proficiencywith Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of how buildings are constructed and ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
Collaborative and team-conscious
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle challenging situations with tact,graceand style
Knowledge of California building codes,standardsand building structures
Understandingsustainable and universal design concepts.

**Compensation is based upon experience and estimated range is$100,000- $120,000annually + bonuses + benefits
